We will be visiting Cambridge University where Parnell studied at Magdalene College for a time, staying in Cambridge for 2 days. While there we will visit the College and other places associated with Parnell.
We will then travel to Hawarden Castle , near Chester, which was the home of William Gladstone, the leader of the liberal Party during Parnell’s time in Parliament, and who worked with Parnell to try to achieve Home Rule for Ireland. While at Hawarden, we will have our usual Spring Day conference .
Travel will be by luxury coach from Dublin Port.
Places are limited, so if you are interested in joining this trip please phone or e-mail Deirdre Larkin at 01 2852113 or dlarkin@parnellsociety.com for further details.
